Beauty & City and Guilds Qualifications for Learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

We are committed to inclusive learning and support learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access recognised beauty therapy qualifications.

Through tailored support, flexible delivery, dedicated staff and adapted resources, our programmes help SEN learners succeed in the beauty industry.

What you’ll learn:

The same core modules as our mainstream beauty courses (nails, brows/lashes, facials, waxing, holistic, etc) but delivered with additional support (e.g., smaller groups, one-to-one support, adapted teaching methods, extra time for assessment).

Skills for client consultation, health & safety, hygiene and professional practice, with accessible training materials and extra tutor support.

Why this course for SEN learners:

  • Beauty therapy is a highly practical, hands-on industry—this means learners with SEN can excel through performance-based learning rather than purely academic assessment.

Having a City and Guilds-accredited qualification gives professional recognition and opens pathways into employment, self-employment or further study.
Our inclusive environment supports confidence, independence, social skills, communication and entrepreneurship—all of which are beneficial beyond the beauty sector.

Entry requirements / outcomes:

We accept learners with a range of SEN needs and tailor the programme accordingly. Entry usually involves a discussion/assessment of learning needs, and we will adapt teaching and assessment as necessary.

On successful completion you will receive a City and Guilds recognised qualification (level depending on the course) and can take up work in salons/spas/mobile or continue training.
